Taylor Swift - Our song

this is a wide shot as the artist is taking up most of the shot. It also shows a bit of background so the viewers get a sense of location. It is night time in this shot however there is lighting on the artist, this lighting is rather dim yet adds another depth of shadowing so looks really effective. i like how the location is rather simple and would be an easy location to get a hold of, yet fits well with the video.

i really like this shot as the artist is looking up at the camera. It's a medium shot and includes her whole body and the background. by looking up at the camera it makes the viewer feel more involved as it's almost like she's directly looking at the viewer. I like the colours in this and her dress kind of fades into the ground, this sets her face apart from the background so there is more focus on her expression.

i like this shot as it includes the whole band. i also like how the wires are black against the white floor and how they're just spontaneously scattered. the lighting is nice as it's got 4 faint spotlights on each musician. It also gives all of the musicians a shadow which means they take up more of the frame.
the use of an extreme close-up on an artist and their instrument is really good in the music video. By having an extreme close-up here the viewers can see all the action of him playing the guitar. It makes the video more interesting as it gives a good variation of shots.
this extreme close-up looks really effective as the picture is really clear and you get to see all the details of the expressions on the artists face. In this shot the artist is holding the microphone infront of her lips, this is a good idea when shooting a music video as if at any point her lip syncing was out then the viewers wouldn't relaise, therefore it is a good use of prop. I also like how her hair is covering one of her eyes as it adds mystery so she isn't giving everything away.
i really like the extreme close-up of the artist here as it's from her side profile. Also how the microphone is in the shot as you barely see an artist using a microphone in a music video. Also I like how in the frame she brings her head back so that at the very end of the shot the microphone is the only thign in focus, i think its a good use of a prop.
