This is a medium shot. I really liked the background in this shot and the good quality of the camera shows well as the atrist looks really defined against the background. It's a good use of set as the theme goes really well with the song. I like her outfit in this shto as well as i think it goes well witht he genre of he video.
Tgis shot and the one below go together. what i really liked about them is that this one is a long shot and the one below is an extreme long shot. The use of distances is a good technique as you can stick to the same set but capture different angles to make it seem more interesting. I also liked how the corners are blurred out because it pulls focus on the action happenign in the shot.

In this extreme long shot, the same effect is happenign than the one above ^ however, its at more of a distance. I liked the way the director zoomed out and included the rest of the background because it makes it clear to the viewers that miley cyrus is actually on a stage and how she's the only musican in the shot. The background has been edited on special effects to increase the cotnrast, this looks really effective as the background is natural yet now it looks mroe professional and apart of the set.
This shot uses depth of field. Miley is in focus and the dancers behind her are blurred out. It brings the viewers attention to her singing which is important in a music video as she's the main attraction.
I liked how they included a crowd in the music video. The crowd is blacke dout so you can only see their silhouttes, this is done so that focus isn't drawn away from the dancing and actions of the artist. Also using an american flag in the background is really relevant to the title and lyrics of the song, therefore is a good use of set.
