Kesha - tick tock

I like this shot as Kesha brings a hand up at a time then her head. It's a close up but the main focus is on her eyes. It allows the viewer to see her facial expressions which bring emotion and a story line into the music video. You still have the tap in the frame so the viewer gets some sense of where she is but there wasn't a establishing shot at the beginning as the artist hypothetically doesn't know where she is and neither do the audience, this interacts the viewers more.
in this shot they have used a reflection as we can only see the artist in the mirror. This is effective as creates a smaller frame ad also differentiates itself from ordinary shots. This technique will be easily adoptable in my music video if i choose to do something similar.
In this shot, they have created a close up of her to bring attention to the actions she is making. I like the fact that she is in the middle of the frame, this is effective because it easily brings about a focal point on the main character for the audience. This shot is original because of the fact that she is in a car, by being in a car her hair is being blown in the wind, this is a natural effect without having to have any system of set - up. I am inspired by this and i think that this type of shot would be quick and easy to do and give a great effect for my own music video.
This is a close-up. I like how the shot is on the feet, which are clearly upside down, then it pans down to see her legs and reveal the whole artist. This has a great effect as at first the viewer is almost confused. The white background against the jet black heels looks really effective as it has a good contrast.
what i like about this shot is the use of all the actors/actresses in the frame dancing. they are blacked out so you can't actually see much detail however, with the effect of the lighting it seems like there are a lot more people than there actually is. this is a really useful technique when it comes to getting people to be in your music video as you may not be able to get a mass of people so by angling the shot correctly you can give the effect of a much fuller frame. Also as the people are dancing they're motion has made the image of there arms blurred. this looks really good as nothing is clear and the viewers get a sense that they are almost involved in the party. It is also a cutaway shot as the action going on does not involve the main focus (Kesha) as she's not visible in this shot. This is effective when trying to vary the action and keep the viewers interested.
