this is an establishing shot as it shows where the location of the music video is. the viewer can vaguely see the person in the video as the focus is more on the settings and scenery. The plot line to this video is very crucial to understand so by having an establishing shot at the beginning really helps the viewers keep in sync with the plot line.
This is a close-up shot and the reason why i felt it was interesting as the person to the right is whispering in the other girls ear, however, the sound has been cut out so the viewers don't know what she's saying. They have put a close-up here to make sure that the viewers acknowledge this action and so that there is little detail from the surroundings showing in order to really bring attention to the action.
This is also a close-up shot which is used well as it's the first time the viewer see's the artist therefore, having a main focus on her face to introduce her is a good way of the viewers getting familiar with the singer. Depth of field is also used here as the background is out of focus and the artist is, this is a great professional effect and i have been taught how to do this and will definitely be including it in my music video.
i really like this medium shot because the camera focus on the artist is really detailed and the picture is extremely clear. Also i like the fact how they have angled the shot so that there is only the sky in the background. This is a good technique to pict up as i can carry it out when shooting my music video and it also fits in really well with the video and it's a natural background.
I really like angel of this close-up shot. It uses depth of field which looks really good as the chains in the background are out of focus and the action of the artist is in focus. the angel is good as the lighting streaming through gives a nice natural effect.
this is a medium shot. I really liked this shot as its compeltely focusing on the artist hwoever, we can still see whats happening in the background. All of the buildings are being pulled up to the center which is enclosing on the artist. Her outfit in the video plays an important part as it's so bright coloured that it makes sure that the attention is on her. It also creates a ncie contrast to the background in this shot.
This would obviously be a very hard shot to include in my music video however, i thought id analyse this shot as the special effects are really good. it's an extreme long shot and shows all the action going on in the frame.
This is an establishing shot and it's at the very end of the video. It's good as it goes with the story line as throughout the video Willow Smith has been creating this city and now she's finally finished the viewers get to see the final result. I like the lighting and hwo it creates big shadows of the buildings.
