this is a long shot as in the frame you can see the whole body of the person. i like this shot in particular because it allows you to see the whole costume of the artist and you can also see everything she's doing, which is important in a music video. It is also using depth of field as she is in focus and the background isn't.
i found this shot interesting as i liked the angle it was taken at. This would be doable in my music video and brings a nice variety of angels to the video.
This shot pans from right to left which i really liked. it captures all sides of the artist, however, she was still in the centre of the frame. This is a great affect and really hope with some good practice i'll be able to include this in my music video. equipment i might be able to use is a crane or the dolly.
This shot also panned from right to left, however, it caught my eye as its close-up, however, still has her whole body in the frame. I thought this was a good idea to include into my music video as it's different. The gaze of the artist was also fixed on the camera so as it panned her eyes followed. This direct eye contact with the audience keeps them focused on the video as it feels as if she's looking at them. i also liked how it was close to the ground as it forms a different level.
This is a close-up shot but to make it more interesting it is at a side profile, it really drew attention to the artist and her actions. I liked this as her nose and lips are touching a street floor which is odd to see but looks great. It is also exaggerated with the lighting as her face is dimmed but the pink/purple lights against it makes the outline of her features stand out.
screen grabbed this shot because i liked how it gave the effect of two frames. You can only see half of Lady Gaga's body as the rest is blocked by the window frame, and you can only see a certain amount of the building as that is limited by the camera frame. The shot really brings attention to artist through the lighting again, as you can't see whats beyond the window due to how powerful the lighting is, therefore there's no distraction to take your view away form the artist, this is a good technique which i hope ot adopt in my music video.
