i like this long shot as the background (the sky) is really clear and it makes the artist stand out against it. all of the colours blend in together and her costume goes well with the location.
this is a long shot, i really like the background as the artist is in this aisle between hills. Her outfit is really interesting as from her previous outfit this one doesn't really fit with the set and it's like she's making a statement. the colours in the shot go well with her bold hair colour and bring focus onto the artist.
this is an establishing shot, it's really hard to see but by the tree is the artist Rihanna. Because it's at such a distance you can't really see much action however, it allows the viewers to get a feel of the location.
This close-up shot is good in the music video as most of the shots are from a distance because most of the time there's a lot to focus on in the background. This shot gives a detailed viewing of the artist. Her hair is covering her right side of her face and her arm is still in the frame to give an impression of disguise or mystery.
i really light the lighting in this medium shot. the use of sunshine as natural light is really effective however, the director has angled it really well. Also the contrasts of the lighting works really well with the music video as its all slightly pinky, this goes well with the set as it's like a dessert.
i like this frame as it is in slow motion. The black background really brings out the red hair of the artist and the lighting on her face brings out her facial features. This helps show the emotions and expressions on the artists face. Her body language is extreme and her side profile brings a variation of angles to the video.
